Ren - Hi Ren

“Hi Ren” is a deeply introspective, personal piece that explores Ren’s struggles with his mental and physical health, and his relationship with creativity. The song is framed as a conversation between his subconscious, his illness(es), and/or a darker aspects of himself. The voice is critical, challenging, and taunting and might sound like a lot of the self talk that we would never tell someone else, but play on repeat in our heads. This is a great listen about confronting the voice in your head that says you’re not good enough.

Actionable Tip of the Week

Make a Mind Map:

Draw a mind map with your negative thought in the center. Branch out with evidence that supports and refutes the thought, alternative positive thoughts, and potential outcomes. This visual approach can help you see the bigger picture and challenge the validity of the negative thought.

May your week be filled with growth and tranquility,

The Rising Anchor Therapy Team
